Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Bayeux

    Arrival at Caen, pick up your rental car. Head to the hotel Le Lion d’Ore or similar in Bayeux, Visit the Canadian Memorial at Juno Beach, the cemetery of Saint-Laurent at Colleville where 9,386 soldiers are buried; walk on Omaha Beach, below the cemetery, or visit to the new «Visitor Centre» built in 2007. Visit the Pointe du Hoc. End the day with visiting Arromanches and the ruins of the artificial harbor built by the allies in less than 15 days. Return back to Bayeux.

  • Day 2 - Caen

    Spend the day in Caen and visit the Château de Caen, one of the largest fortresses of Western Europe, today a fine arts museum. Spend the evening in Caen before returning to the Le Lion d’Or.

  • Day 3 - Cambremer

    Begin your journey towards Cambremer, where the next hotel is. On your way, stop to visit Falaise, the birthplace of William the Conqueror first of the Norman kings of England. It still has remain of its castle which was the seat of Duke of Norman. Finally, arrive in Cambremer and overnight at Le Chateau Les Bruyeres.

  • Day 4 - Calvados

    Explore the Calvados Gastronomy area. We advise you to stop for brandy tasting at Calvados Boulard where they make the famous Calvados Apple Cider Brandy. Located in the heart of the apple orchards of the Pays d'Auge, and in particular in Boulard's one, return to Le Chateau Les Bruyeres.

  • Day 5 - Rouen

    Drive towards Rouen, on your way stop at Honfleur a preserved town with 17th century historic harbor. Then visit the sea resort executive of Deauville. You can also spend time at the casino or the horse race rack. Continue to Rouen and overnight at Mercure Rouen Cathedral or similar.

  • Day 6 - Rouen

    Spend the day in Rouen, the historical capital city of Normandy. Explore the Cathédrale Notre-Dame and its Tour de Beurre (butter tower), the 16th century astronomical clock, Eglise Saint-Maclou and of course, the Tour Jeanne d’Arc where Joan of Arc was tortured. Then return to the Mercure Rouen Cathedral or similar

  • Day 7 - Le Havre / Paris

    Spend the day in Le Havre, also known as the “Porte Océane”, and the largest export port in France. It is also a World Heritage Site with many churches. Return to Rouen for your last night.

  • Day 8 - Departure

    After breakfast check out of hotel, return your car and take the train to Paris. End of services or optional extension available.
