Discover the enchanting island of Sicily on Italy’s southernmost tip. Explore fantastic ancient ruins and architectural wonders, stroll though vibrant and colourful towns, sample delicious local fare and capture the stunning rugged and glorious sun drenched panoramas.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Palermo

    Upon arrival in Palermo, transfer from the airport to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. D

  • Day 2 - Monreale, Palermo and Cefalu

    Explore Monreale and admire the stunning gold mosaics in the Cathedral. Continue on to explore vibrant Palermo, famous for its history, art and Arab influence. Spend the morning walking through the old centre, visiting Piazza Pretoria and Via Maqueda with its “Four Corners”. In the afternoon depart for Cefalu, a charming town with outstanding mosaics and home to a massive Normal Cathedral, visit the city center and stroll down main street. Later back to Palermo. B

  • Day 3 - Marsala Wine, Olive Oil and Erice

    Early departure to tour western Sicily where you will reach Marsala and visit a local winery’s cellar and taste Sicilian wines. Later travel between Trapani and Marsala on the Salt Way Road. Then, to an olive oil factory and farmhouse to enjoy a light lunch. In the afternoon continue to Erice and wonder through its ancient streets and visit some of the famous homemade pastry shops - world famous for marzipan candies and other delicacies. Later back to Palermo. B L

  • Day 4 - Agrigento & Piazza Armerina

    This morning head to historic Agrigento to explore the famous Greek Valley of the Temples with its stunning architecture. In the afternoon view the ruins of the Roman Villa of Casale, and then continue to Taormina, the resort town of Sicily. B L D

  • Day 5 - Syracuse

    Today depart for Syracuse, founded by colonists from Cornith in 735 B.C. and once the most important competitor to Athens. Upon arrival stroll through the streets of Ortigia Island, the heart of the city center. After lunch visit through the Archaeological Park which highlights the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Paradise Quarry. Then back to Taormina. B L

  • Day 6 - Taormina

    Spend the day at your leisure exploring this pretty resort town. Wnder down the main street Corso Umberto I to take in the sites, visit the impressive open air Roman - Greek Theatre to capture the great views of the coast and across to Mr. Etna or enjoy one of the many optional day trips offered. B

  • Day 7 - Taormina, Catania

    Time to say goodbye to Sicily. After breakfast transfer back to Catania Airport for your departure. B
